Police say the woman was putting out the garbage in front of her home on Stirrup Lane in Levittown when the incident happened. (July 30, 2014 7:35 AM)

Police are searching for the driver who ran down an 80-year-old woman in Levittown and did not stop. 

Police say the woman was putting out the garbage in front of her Stirrup Lane home when a silver car hit her and kept going around 7:15 a.m. Thursday. 

The victim was taken to the hospital with hip and shoulder injuries.
