NEW HYDE PARK - Police are searching for the person who hit a man and left him in the street in New Hyde Park. 

The incident happened just before 10 p.m. on Hillside Avenue.

Police say an older white Toyota Camry hit a man crossing the street and then sped away.

The 62-year-old unidentified victim was seriously hurt.
