Driver sought in North Lindenhurst hit-and-run

NORTH LINDENHURST - Police are searching for the driver who fled after crashing into another vehicle and flipped over in North Lindenhurst. 

The wild scene played out on Sunrise Highway around 6:30 p.m. Thursday. 

Police say the white SUV slammed into a blue vehicle with five people inside and then ended up on its roof. According to police, the SUV driver ran off.

A police chopper search couldn't find him.

The people in the other car were not seriously hurt.
