LAKE RONKONKOMA - Residents of a block in Lake Ronkonkoma say dozens of their cars have been broken into over the past few weeks. Cars along Gatelot Avenue, left both locked and unlocked, have been targeted, residents say. Sometimes the crooks get nothing, but other times they make off with change and other valuables. One of the victims says his home surveillance system recorded a possible suspect on video, but no arrests have been made. Suffolk police say they've boosted patrols in the area. They're advising residents to park in well-lit areas, leave their doors locked at all times and make sure valuables aren't left unattended.
