BRENTWOOD - A Brentwood group that aims to keep children active and off the streets got a helping hand today from a generous donor.

Brentwood Youth Activities (BYA) helps more than 1,000 local kids play games and learn about sportsmanship. The group's aging clubhouse is being renovated because it's unsafe and infested with rodents, but it has been a struggle to find willing donors and volunteers.

Today, a donor dropped off a $7,500 check to help bring BYA closer to getting its much-needed makeover.
