WOODBURY - A dog rescued by American soldiers from insurgents in Afghanistan is getting a new home in the States.

News 12 Long Island's Stacey Bell speaks to Robert Misseri and Meredith Festa of the Long Island based not-for-profit group Guardians of Rescue.

Guardians of Rescue paid for the dog, Trigger, to be shipped to the U.S. and will now be shipping him to the soldier who rescued him in Washington state.
