CORAM - A dog found starving in Suffolk County is clinging to life.

Rescuers say last summer the Italian Mastiff was 105 pounds and is down to 47 pounds.

The estranged wife of the dog's owner says she left their Coram apartment three weeks ago and went back Saturday to pick up more belongings.

That's where she tells the rescue group she found the dog named Queen locked in a bedroom.

The SPCA is still searching for the woman's husband.

A Sayville vet says Queen is responding to treatment but is very sick.
