SEAFORD - A disabled Seaford woman who lost $50,000 worth of medical equipment is struggling to recover from Hurricane Sandy.

Wendy Wagner’s South Cedar Street home sustained $100,000 worth of damage and is unlivable. Wagner has been living in a hotel because she is disabled due to a spinal cord injury.

Wagner was told by FEMA that the money to stay at the hotel will run out soon and she will no longer be able to live there. She tells News 12 Long Island that she won't be able to function if she has to return home on her own.

Wagner has started a blog in hopes of finding other people in her position.
