WOODBURY - The Diocese of Rockville Centre is warning about a website that allows users to post naked pictures of students.

The website in question has naked selfies and other photos of teenage girls from across the country. It's categorized by high schools, and posters can encourage other users to upload lewd and pornographic photos of their classmates to "score" higher in the rankings.

News 12 first reported about the website last May, when the majority of the site's Long Island girls were from Suffolk County high schools. Now it's filled with Nassau County schools as well.

The Diocese of Rockville Centre sent out a warning letter to the principals of all its 57 schools. The letter states that officials became aware of the site from the parent of a female student, and that parents and guidance counselors should talk to students about the dangers of such sites.

Last year, News 12 spoke with Cliff Pfleiger after a photo of his daughter in a bikini was taken from her Instagram account and posted to the site. He now tells News 12 that he runs a Facebook page called No Nude Selfies and wants to make sure parents know of the site, and that teens know not to take nude photos.

Pfleiger was able to get his daughter's photo taken down after emailing the administrator of the website.

Suffolk police say their computer crimes division has been aware of the site for more than a year and have also been able to get some of the photos removed. They are investigating some of the posters who live in the county.

Getting the site taken down entirely would be in the hands of a federal agency since the host server has been traced to both Mexico and California.
