Dharun Ravi to be released from jail after serving 20 days

NEW JERSEY - The former Rutgers student who was convicted of streaming his roommate's gay encounter online is expected to walk free tomorrow.

Dharun Ravi was sentenced to 30 days behind bars but will be released after serving 20.

This is because the 20-year-old was credited for good behavior and for working.

Ravi's roommate, Tyler Clementi, committed suicide days after Ravi saw him on a webcam kissing another man. Federal authorities say Ravi will not be deported.
