EAST MEADOW - There are about 100,000 paper ballots that still need to be counted in Nassau County, which means many candidates may have to wait a while for the final results. One sure victory is the new 22nd Assembly District. Democrat Michaelle Solages, who won the race, says she can't wait to get started. Solages says she's looking forward to improving education and small business in the district. Democrats say it was a good night for the party, though they say they're not yet sure when all the results will be in.
