DEER PARK - A Suffolk firefighter killed in the line of duty was honored today when Deer Park residents renamed a street in his memory.Today, 22nd Street near Long Island Avenue became Firefighter Victor A. Isler Street, named for the 40-year-old Deer Park native killed in the line of duty in 2008.Isler moved to North Carolina to pursue his dream of becoming a full-time firefighter, but was killed in a five-alarm fire just 11 months later. He leaves behind a wife and two teenage children who still live in North Carolina.
