WOODBURY - The battle to prevent the government from going into default resumed this afternoon following a tense negotiation session yesterday evening.

President Barack Obama abruptly left a meeting last night after a heated exchange with House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) Now, Senate Majority Harry Reid (D-Nev.) wants Cantor booted from negotiations.

Some GOP members have defended Cantor, who says he didn't mean to disrespect the president.
