Dead rooster found nailed to tree in Islip

ISLIP - Police are searching for the person responsible for nailing a dead rooster to a tree in Islip. 

The SPCA tells News 12 the bird was discovered at the intersection of Spur Drive South and Freeman Avenue. Police say the tongue and eyes were cut out and a candle was found nearby. 

So far no arrests have been made.
