WOODBURY - Charges have been upgraded against the man accused of stabbing a Medford mother to death.
Dante Taylor is now facing first-degree murder charges in the death of 21-year-old Sarah Goode.
Goode was discovered by a search party in a wooded area of Medford last month, several days after she was reported missing. Her car had been found parked on the side of a road not far from where her body was found.
Prosecutors say Taylor raped Goode and stabbed her to death. They said she was hit so forcefully that a metal object lodged in her skull.
Taylor pleaded not guilty at his arraignment earlier this month.
No motive for the incident has been released.
