WOODBURY - ? Gov. Andrew Cuomo is visiting the Adirondacks today, a region that suffered tremendous flood damage from the remnants of Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee. Many roads in the area were washed out or sustained other damage from the torrential rains in late August and last week. The main route into the Lake Placid region from the south remains closed along some stretches. New York State closed most Adirondack hiking trails in the aftermath of Irene, but some trails were reopened last week.
