WOODBURY - The Supreme Court has ruled in favor of a terminally ill patient with cancer who wants the right to die. Grace Sung Eun Lee, 28, has inoperable cancer of the brain stem and has been kept on life support at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset. Her court-appointed attorney said she has stated, "I want to die."However, Lee's Korean family believes it's suicide, and they were waging a court battle to keep her alive. The family filed an appeal but it has since been rejected. A judge had ruled the woman is competent to decide her own fate, meaning she could order her support system to be removed. It is up to Grace now to decide what she wants to do.

The family believes their daughter is being pressured into death by doctors who were likely trying to comfort her.Terminally ill woman pitted against parents in 'right-to-die' fight
