Cops: Young man shot, killed in Hempstead

Police are searching for a suspect involved in a Hempstead murder.

Police say Quavis Ford, 20, was shot and killed outside an apartment building on Terrance Avenue.

HEMPSTEAD - Police are searching for a suspect involved in a Hempstead murder.

Police tell News 12 Long Island Quavis Ford, 20, was shot and killed outside an apartment building on Terrance Avenue. 

The violence erupted around sunset at about 4:30 p.m. Saturday. 

Ford was rushed to the hospital where he died.
