Cops searching for suspect linked to fatal shooting of Jazzmen Bryant in Huntington Station

HUNTINGTON STATION - Police are investigating a shooting that left a man dead in Huntington Station.

Authorities say a 911 caller reported a shooting Wednesday at around 11:30 p.m. on Seventh Avenue.

When officers arrived, they discovered a male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim, identified as 33-year-old Jazzmen Bryant, of Roosevelt, was taken to Huntington Hospital, where he died a short time later.

According to detectives, the victim was found in a car with a friend and was shot in the torso.

Police say the shooting does not appear to be gang-related.
