SOUTHOLD - Police are searching for the suspect who stabbed a man leaving a Mattituck convenience store.

Police say the incident happened around 11:30 p.m. last night when the victim was walking through Mattituck Plaza to get to his car. According to police, the man approached the victim looking for money.

That is when police say the victim refused and the suspect cut his left arm and ran away. 

Anyone with information is asked to call Southold police at 631-765-2600
