Cops search for 2 armed men in Walmart robbery

EAST MEADOW - Cops are searching for two armed robbers who targeted employees while shoppers watched at a Walmart in East Meadow.

Police were called to the location around 11:30 p.m. on Hempstead Turnpike.

Cops say two men armed with guns stormed into the store and robbed it while people were inside shopping. According to police, one suspect displayed a handgun and ordered a male worker to the ground. In addition, the second suspect approached a male worker at the service desk and took an undetermined amount of money. Both subjects were black males dressed in black, wearing black ski masks and fled on foot in an unknown direction.

There were no injures reported during the incident. Police are asking anyone with information to call them at 1-800-244-TIPS.
