Cops: Salon set on fire for 2nd time in 48 hours

FARMINGVILLE - Police say a salon in Farmingville was set on fire for the second time in 48 hours on Wednesday.

Surveillance cameras capture a person walk up with gallon container at around 2:30 a.m., dousing the window and doorway of the Contempo Salon with some sort of liquid. Officials say the suspect then broke a window and tossed a flaming object into the salon.

The owner says that despite damage between $5,000-$10,000, the salon is still open for business.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
