According to police, the eldest of the couple's four children, who is 13 years old, came home and was told through the front door by her father to get her younger siblings from school. She returned with the rest of the children, ages 10, 9 and 7, to find a note that said, "Mommy and daddy are hurt, call 911." Police say the children found their mother dead on the kitchen floor.
