GILGO BEACH - Police announced during a news conference yesterday afternoon that the remains of a missing Maine woman have been identified as one of the four bodies found near Gilgo Beach last month.

Megan Waterman, 22, was last seen on June 6 at a Hauppauge Holiday Inn. Her family says she had been working as a prostitute on Long Island.

Waterman's family says she was a good mom and should still be alive.

Police would not say how Waterman was killed.

Officials tell News 12 they may be close to identifying the other three bodies also found in the brush off Ocean Parkway.Several police departments involved in Gilgo Beach bodies probe
