BETHPAGE - A Farmingdale man is accused of driving drunk, striking a stroller that had a baby inside and then dragging the stroller for an entire block.
Police say a grandfather was pushing a 2-year-old in a stroller in a crosswalk on Central Avenue in Bethpage. The driver, identified as Anthony Valenti, allegedly struck them with his Nissan Murano.
Officials say the stroller became lodged under the vehicle, and Valenti continued to drag it for an entire block before stopping. A passerby then removed the baby and stroller from under the vehicle.
