Cops: Man arrested for DWI after fleeing Patchogue crash

? Police have arrested an East Patchogue man for allegedly driving while intoxicated after fleeing the scene of a crash that seriously injured his passenger

PATCHOGUE - ? Police have arrested an East Patchogue man for allegedly driving while intoxicated after fleeing the scene of a crash that seriously injured his passenger this morning. Cops say Angel Moreno-Reyes was driving westbound on Montauk Highway in Patchogue when his vehicle crossed over the double yellow line and struck an eastbound Suffolk County Transit bus, just west of Waterworks Road at 6:15 a.m. Marvin Garcia, 25, who was a passenger in Reyes? car, was transported to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center where he was admitted with a serious head injury. Two passengers on the bus were treated for minor injuries. Following the crash, Moreno-Reyes fled the scene on foot and was located approximately three hours later on South Fairview Avenue in Bayport, according to police.Detectives charged Moreno-Reyes, 21, with driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an incident without reporting involving physical injury. Moreno-Reyes is being treated at the hospital for a broken wrist.Detectives are asking anyone with information to call police at 631-854-8552.
