WOODBURY - As the search for missing college student Lauren Spierer continues in Indiana, police say that her Long Island boyfriend is now considered a person of interest in the case.
News 12 Long Island has learned the boyfriend's name is Jesse Wolff, of Port Washington.
Spierer, 20, was last seen a week ago while walking back to her apartment alone. Police aren't saying if Wolff was with her that night, only that they're speaking to him and he's cooperative.
Dive teams have been exploring a lake near Spierer's campus, and police have set up checkpoints asking motorists if they've seen her. Hundreds of people have also volunteered to help in the search.
