GLEN COVE - Police say a homeless man has been found dead in a stream in Glen Cove.

According to police, the body was found Wednesday off Arterial Highway near the railroad overpass.

The body has been identified as Victor Manuel Alas, 66, who police say drowned in the stream.

Alas was found by his son, who went looking for his father after he had not seen him in a few days.

An autopsy is being done to determine the exact cause of death, but police do think it was accidental.
