NORTH LINDENHURST - ? Police say a driver has been arrested for allegedly driving the wrong way on a Long Island road.

Cops arrested Michael Malalan, of Lindenhurst, because they say he was driving without headlights north in the southbound lane of Straight Path in North Lindenhurst last night. A witness says Malalan turned onto Wellwood Avenue and hit a car at 48th Street.

Malalan is facing several charges, including driving on drugs.

Malalan is the 16th alleged wrong way, impaired driver arrested on Long Island in the past seven weeks.
