NEWTOWN, Conn. - Connecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy spoke earlier this evening about the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

He said now is not the time to focus on politics and what divides us, but rather what brings people together and gives them faith.

"What we saw yesterday were those bonds, that sense of community," he said. "In the coming days, we will rely on that which we have been taught and inherently believe that we have faith for a reason. And that faith is God's gift to us all."
