WOODBURY - Mercy Medical Center held a conference today to offer services for moms-to-be.
The mother of a former Mercy patient attended "Birth, Baby and Beyond" today. Josephine Detz gave Mercy's Family Care Center a heart-warming thank you today for the prenatal care given to her daughter, Susan Grace Ambrosino, before her life was cut short.
Ambrosino, a single, financially strapped mom, was three months pregnant when her boyfriend murdered her.
Ambrosino's mother and daughter have held a remembrance shower in her name for the past three years. They collect gifts year-round for the moms who seek services at Mercy.
