CENTRAL ISLIP - Animal protection officers showed up at a horse farm in Central Islip today after neighbors reported several horses were being neglected and starved.

The SPCA checked out the property and said it didn't find any signs of abused horses. It says the property is still under investigation and that it will be returning.

The property's owner says he has not received any violations. Efforts to reach the Town of Islip to see if there are any current violations on the property have so far been unsuccessful.
