SHIRLEY - Officials say help is on the way for homeowners and businesses that lost money during the Shirley propane leak.
About 2,000 residents were forced out of the area on New Year's Day. According to Newsday, the company that owns the tank, Synergy Gas, is accepting claims.
Supermarkets and restaurants say they lost thousands in spoiled food when the power was shut off.
Homeowners are submitting claims for the hotels where they stayed.
