HICKSVILLE - The Long Island Rail Road was forced to temporarily suspend service Wednesday night due to the nor?easter that lashed Long Island.

The railroad has since restored its modified schedule on most branches, but is advising people to expect some weather-related delays and cancellations.

Many commuters say they were stuck on trains for hours and some say they were forced out into the cold after conductors told them to get off the train.

While many commuters were upset with the service issues, others took it in stride, saying that they can?t blame Mother Nature.
