Wednesday was day two of the controversial Common Core testing in schools and thousands of Long Island students are opting out.

According to Long Island Opt-Out Facebook page, more than 17,000 students have refused to take the ELA test.

In Rockville Centre, the superintendent tells News 12 about 800 students, or about one out of every two students, are not taking the test.
