CENTRAL ISLIP - A Commack landlord was arraigned today on second-degree burglary charges after allegedly stealing from her tenants. Police say 45-year-old Christine Georghakis stole money and jewelry from a couple in their Johnson Street apartment last week. They say the victims were out of town when the alleged theft occurred and that there was no sign of forced entry. Authorities say Georghakis has had drug and alcohol issues, but that it appears she used the money to put gas in her car. They also claim she is a repeat offender since she is currently on probation for stealing more than $10,000 in cash and jewelry from a tenant in 2011. Georghakis is being held on $5,000 bond.
