Coating of snow makes LI roads slick

Salters and sanders are out clearing the roads across Long Island. (2/3/13)

CENTEREACH - A snowstorm that started last night and finished up this morning created slick conditions for drivers on Long Island.

While there wasn't much accumulation, the coating on the roads and the cold temperatures meant icy conditions.

A three-car crash on County Road 97 in Centereach happened while the snow was coming down overnight in Suffolk County. It's not known if anyone was injured in the crash.
