FREEPORT - This weekend's storm is expected to bring coastal flooding to many low-lying areas.

News 12 Long Island forecasters say winds will reach 25 to 35 mph with gusts of up to 50 mph during Saturday's storm. They say the strong lunar tide will be up to 4 feet above normal and could contribute to coastal flooding.

Officials with the Town of Hempstead say they have been preparing flooding prone areas like Freeport for this type of event.

The National Weather Service has issued a coastal flood warning for most of the South Shore.
