QUEENS - Both sides gave closing arguments today in the trial of a Queens man accused of framing his ex-girlfriend.
Prosecutors say Jerry Ramrattan, 39, wanted to prevent Seemona Sumasar from testifying in her rape case against him. Officials say Ramrattan framed Sumasar last year for a series of Nassau County robberies.
The Far Rockaway mom spent nearly seven months in jail awaiting trial. Sumasar was freed after an informant helped unravel Ramrattan's alleged scheme.
Ramrattan is facing more than a dozen charges, including rape, perjury and conspiracy. He faces more than 25 years in prison. Man accused of framing ex-girlfriend declines to testifyWoman grilled about dealings with ex accused of framing herLI mom testifies against ex accused of framing her
