CENTRAL ISLIP - Closing arguments began today in a Central Islip triple murder-arson trial.

Thomas Singletary and Hasan Vaughn are accused of killing Katrice Daniels, Mykier Daniels and Louis Calixto Jr. before setting fire to their home to cover up the crime. Prosecutors say the victims were tortured, beaten, shot, stabbed and strangled. Singletary and Vaughn are facing first-degree murder and arson charges for the 2009 crimes.

Prosecutors say the murders were revenge for Katrice Daniels stealing her then-boyfriend Vaughn's laptop, jewelry and credit cards.

Closing arguments are expected to last into Thursday.
