MINEOLA - Charges were formally dropped today against a mother who spent nearly seven months in jail for a series of crimes authorities now say she didn't commit.

Seemona Sumasar says she has lost faith in the justice system and the people whose job it is to protect people like her. The Far Rockaway mother was accused of posing as a police officer to pull people over in Nassau County and rob them at gunpoint.

"From Day 1, not only did I say I didn't do this, I told them exactly who I thought was behind it. I told them it was Jerry [Ramrattan]."
