WOODBURY - The chaos in Libya has oil prices soaring today to more than $96 a barrel, the highest levels since October of 2008.

Libya is the world's 15th largest oil exporter, but other OPEC nations are saying they can make up any lost Libyan supplies.

According to News 12 Wall Street reporter Bob Plunkett, market analysts say gas prices in New York could peak at around $3.79 a gallon.

Economists are worried higher gas prices could hurt economic recovery.
