Police say an armed robbery happened near the school. (February 21, 2013)

CENTRAL ISLIP - Central Islip High School was put on lockdown today after an armed robbery in the area.

Authorities say a cab driver was robbed on a nearby street.

Police say they caught the suspects a short time later.
