LOCUST VALLEY - The driver of a cement truck has been charged with multiple felonies following a deadly school bus crash in Locust Valley last summer.

Police say Raymond Ragen, of Mineola, was high on drugs when he hit an overpass on Oyster Bay Road and struck the bus in July.

Officials say the force of the crash sent the cement truck careening into oncoming traffic where it crashed head-on with a miniature school bus carrying special needs children home from summer camp.

The bus driver, Jorge Guevara, of Locust Valley, was killed. A total of four children were hurt.

News 12 Long Island spoke to the bus driver's widow in court today. She sobbed as she told reporters that she wants justice, especially for her four children. "It's really hard," said Claudia Guevara. "I have my 2-year-old asking every single day, 'Where is my daddy? When is he coming back?'"

The indictment charges against Ragen, 44, included aggravated vehicular homicide, manslaughter in the second degree and driving while impaired by drugs.

Ragen pleaded not guilty this morning and bail was set at $750,000 cash. He is due back in court Feb. 20.
