Cat rescued after getting stuck in neighbor's car engine in North Babylon

A Suffolk County cat is back safe and sound this morning about being rescued. Suffolk police helped rescue Buddy the cat yesterday.

NORTH BABYLON - A Suffolk County cat is back safe and sound this morning after being rescued.

Suffolk police helped rescue Buddy the cat yesterday.

Buddy escaped from his North Babylon home and got stuck in the engine of a neighbor's car.

Newsday says the neighbor heard purring in his car and called police.

Officers tried several attempts to get the car out but nothing was working.

After hours, Buddy came out when her owner shook a box of food.
