NORTH AMITYVILLE - Officials say an out-of-control car flipped over and landed on the front lawn of a home in North Amityville.

Officials say two 18-year-old girls were inside the car when the incident happened on Great Neck Road around 3 a.m.

According to police, the teen driver lost control, barreled into a minivan, flipped over and landed inches from an occupied home.

Police identified the driver as Na’eema Holland and her passenger as Bria Pitt, both of Amityville. Both teens were able to crawl out of the car and suffered minor injuries.

The family that lives inside the home was not injured.
