ELMONT - A campaign worker for Nassau Legislator John Ciotti (R-Valley Stream) has apparently been caught on tape using racially demeaning language at the headquarters for Ciotti's challenger, Carrie Solages.

The campaign worker is accused of saying, "Don't worry, we will put them on the back of the bus where they belong," after being confronted outside Solages' headquarters for posting signs for the Ciotti campaign.

Ciotti says the worker involved was one of several hundred volunteers and his actions don't represent the campaign in any way. The volunteer has been dismissed from the campaign, Ciotti says.
