EAST MEADOW - A livery cab driver from Queens allegedly tried to rob a passenger in East Meadow, according to police.

Investigators say 34-year-old Tyrone Rispers picked up the passenger Monday at Jamaica Station, drove her to Park Avenue and Waverly Place, pulled over and demanded her money.

They say Rispers punched the woman in the face and tried to take her pocketbook before driving off.

The victim spotted him again at Jamaica Station yesterday and alerted police, leading to the arrest.
