SMITHTOWN - America’s Vet Dogs Veteran K-9 Corps in Smithtown is improving the lives of disabled veterans thanks to a generous donation from a major international animal health company.

Butler Schein donated $56,000 to the organization. The money will be used to breed, train and raise service dogs for veterans and others in need.

“We feel it is our social responsibility to give back to those who are really doing the job and helping others,” says Kevin Vasquez, CEO of Butler Schein. “America's Vet Dogs is an easy choice.”

Half of the donation was raised by Butler Schein employees; the rest was matched by the company.
