WANTAGH - A bus caught fire in Wantagh on Friday morning.

Police received a call just before 10 a.m. about a fire that broke out on a bus located on Jones Avenue and Wilmarth Place.

Officials tell News 12 the fire was due to a mechanical failure and no rescue was needed.

Police say no one was hurt. They say the kids who were on board had just gotten off to go to their day camp when the fire broke out.
